Description:

All the joys of paddling, with most of the comforts of home -- how much better can it get! This 3-day guided sea kayaking tour departs from Tofino, BC. We'll spend 2 nights at the rustic Vargas Island Inn, a short paddle from Tofino. From the Inn we can access much of the same spectacular coastline as our other trips, but at night you can shower, then after supper sink into a couch by the fireplace.

Itinerary:

From the village of Tofino you will paddle a short distance to Meares Island, and hike the famous Big Trees Boardwalk. Then it's a short paddle to Vargas Island Inn. Relax in the beachside sauna, and top the day off with a fresh seafood feast.

Each day we'll go kayaking, exploring the remote inlets, bays and ocean rock gardens of Clayoquot Sound. We'll enjoy a tasty picnic lunch on a secluded beach, then make our way back to the Inn. Or we might even hike across Vargas Island to the famous white sand beaches of Ahous Bay.

Of course there's lots of time for reading, socializing, and simply relaxing!

Who should come:

No paddling skills or previous experience are needed to join our guided tours. High levels of fitness are not required -- anyone who enjoys being physically active can participate in this trip.

All you need to bring is your personal clothing, sleeping bag, and a sense of adventure! The kayaks and accessories, and all meals are provided.
